Serving as Executive Director, Graham brought the Asheville Area Arts Council back from collapse with a burst of creative expansion

  • Opening The ARTERY

After briefly vanishing from public view, Graham's leadership led to opening a gallery flex space in the River Arts District as the new AAAC headquarters

  • Curating a Year of Fine Art

Dipping into the deep pool of Asheville-area fine arts talent, Graham lined up a year of art shows and hosted each show's opening, actively building community

  • Community Collaborations

The ARTERY was a valuable resource for traditionally underserved populations in the area: hosting fundraisers, events, and art shows to benefit partners

  • The Turquoise Ball

The long-lost signature Color Ball fundraiser/ mega-event for the AAAC came roaring back with a powerful array of musical, dance, aerial, and other performances

  • The Creative Sector Summit

Graham led the effort for the inaugural Summit where over 100 creative professionals assembled to discuss local challenges and opportunities

  • Arts Advocacy

Creative professionals add extraordinary value to any community, especially when they're granted access to resources & grants. So the AAAC did just that.
