“I’ve had employees stop me or call me to say thanks, happy to see the company committing to a safer workplace and how valuable the information has been. This is a positive opportunity for not only our employees, but the entire community.”

Trish Sullivan, VP of Human Resources at Steamboat Ski & Resort

The Approach:

Preventing sexual misconduct and relationship abuse requires an in-depth look at many related issues. Using Social Emotional Learning and Social Inoculation Theory, this set of “Primary Prevention” education modules surveys risk factors and offers practical information to improve safety.

This program catalogue was developed in collaboration with survivors of violence and professional advocates representing a wide range of identities and backgrounds. Designed to reach a wide range of target populations, S.A.F.E.R. programs are for designed schools & colleges, businesses, service providers, and community groups. Each program is engaging, research-informed, culturally responsive, lightly interactive, and promotes social equity. All programs have been peer-reviewed, piloted, and field-tested.

School-based programs are age-appropriate, reinforce most standard Health curricula, and address National Health Education Standards 1, 2, 4, 5, and 8.

Programs run 60 or 90 minutes (with optional break-out sessions)
